Ladies, please mark your calendars for our Ladies Day – Saturday, March 27th! Our speakers will be our very own, Nancee B., Julie C. and Hilda H. The theme this year is: “Fill Your Bag”.
We would like everyone to pray for and encourage the following young people as they are studying to take the individual testing for the Bible Bowl this Friday, Feb. 12th. They are: Sean A., Andrew J., Kindle O. and Dawson O. Studying for back-ups is Shanieka A., Sarah O. and Makayla O. These kids are doing great and we wish them all the best!
Jeff is about to do a book inventory in February of his personal library. Please take a look and see if you have borrowed a book and please return them as soon as possible. Thanks!
Nancee B. has started a ladies Bible study here at the church on Saturdays at 6:00 p.m.! The study started last week and will be a 9-week study of Beth Moore’s “Breaking Free”. The cost of the book is $15. If you are interested in attending, please call Nancee. *PLEASE NOTE: NO CLASS THIS SATURDAY (Feb. 13th).
Please make plans to attend the Ministry Expo. meeting THIS SUNDAY (Feb. 14th) immediately after the morning service in the classroom in the back of the Auditorium. We will be selecting the date for the expo and providing other important information. We will try to keep the meeting short. Please call Don C. any questions.
We will have a short Ladies Day meeting immediately after services THIS SUNDAY, Feb. 14th, (not too long so we can get over to check-out the old portable and their snacks!) Be thinking about how you would like to help. Thanks!
This Sunday (Feb. 14th) immediately after worship services, King’s Kids will be hosting an Open House for everyone to check out the renovated old portable. They will be serving cookies, brownies and cupcakes!!!
Sound interesting? Then plan to attend Parish Nursings’ Soup Bowl Dinner on Wednesday, February 24th in the Fellowship Hall. Highlighting the evening are bowls handmade by our own artist, Bob Jewell. For just $7.50, you choose your own bowl (yours to take home). The menu consists of 3 different soups, salad and dessert.
Since the bowls are unique and limited, buy your tickets early: Look for the sign-up area in the church foyer.
All proceeds go to Brian Wallace and the Haiti Relief Project.
Please pray for my friend Helen and her family. Her mom is in the hospital with fever and pneumonia. Her mom is in England and Helen will most likely be flying home Monday. Thank You Jacob Medley
