Youth Group Serve Week
We will work with another Youth Group from out-of-state do some good around our town. Our “Serve Week” is Dec. 17-22nd. More details to come.

VIDEO: Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat
This years Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat was a huge success. Audrey O’Connell led the charge with this inventive idea. What is safer than kids going Trunk or Treating? The concept is everyone decorates the trunks of their vehicles and the kids go trunk to trunk and get the goodies. (more…)
SonQuest Information
Here are some important notes about SonQuest this coming weekend. Please make sure your student is at the building no later than 4:30PM on Friday, packed and ready to leave. Also, please make sure they bring any remaining balance they might owe. Call me (Beef) if you have any other questions!
- For SonQuest event information, please visit www.sonquest.com
- All students MUST have a completed, notarized “Medical Release Form” in order to leave and go to SonQuest. This is REQUIRED
- We will be meeting at the church building on Friday at 4:30PM packed and ready to leave. Bring only 1 suitcase, we’re only staying for the weekend!!
- DO BRING: Clothes, a bathing suit if you want to swim, your Bible, toiletries, paper and pens, and money for 2 meals out
- DON’T BRING: inappropriate clothing, expensive things you can’t afford to lose, a bad attitude, anything illegal

Mathetes Small Group
This is the high school small group. We will meet at John’s house on Tuesday, Aug. 18th, at 7:00 p.m.
SonQuest

Pathfinder Summer Program 2009
For the last eight years, our kindergarten through sixth grade children have enjoyed our Pathfinder Summer program that runs on Wednesday evenings during the summer months of June, July and August. For 2009, our theme was called Treasure Hunters – Uncovering the Truth about Jesus – based on the book of Hebrews. The program centered around an Indiana Jones format. (more…)
Blessed
What does the word “poor” mean to you? You might define it as not having much or living below the poverty line. As a country, Americans are taught to gain wealth and accumulate “stuff” – it’s become the standard by which we judge. If we see someone get out of a Lexus in a suit and tie, we’re likely to give them some kind of subconscious respect. Likewise, if we see a man with messy hair walking down the street holding a sign asking for a few bucks, we often look down on him. And it’s nothing new. It’s been going on for a long, long time. And it’s not an American thing. It happens everywhere. It’s no wonder that James dedicates half of a chapter to this problem in his letter (James 2:1-13).

New Reign
Come join us on Saturday, July 18th, at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of uplifting music and poetry! New Reign is Oklahoma Christian University’s premiere acappella group. The concert is FREE! We will also have a POTLUCK luncheon on Sunday, July 19th so be sure to bring enough food for your family and then some!

We will have a SonQuest planning meeting on Monday, Aug. 3rd, at 7:00 p.m. in the Youth Portable.
